National museum of natural history of Ukraine – one of the best museums in Kyiv is situated in the centre of the city on Bohdan Khmelnytskogo Street.
The museum consists of 5 departments: archeology with amforas, tools, jewelry,
geology (minerals, geological processes of the Earth),
paleontology (skeletons of mammoths, dinosaurs, ancient whale, evolution of humanity),
zoology (scarecrows of different types of animals from all over the world)
and botany (samples of plants, divided by the habitats).
Duration of the excursion in one of the departments: 45-60 minutes.
Price for excursion in one of the department:
English excursion: 80 UAH (3 USD) per person.
Ukrainian or Russian group from 1 to 8 persons, 120 UAH (5 USD) per group.
Ukrainian or Russian group from 9 persons, 15 UAH (1 USD) per person.
You can also take an audio-guide in English, Ukrainian or Russian – 60 UAH (2,5 USD).
There is also film screening 3D “Sea world dinosaurs” on the third floor of museum.
Sessions: 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00.
Duration of the session: 40 minutes.
Price for ticket to film: about 35 UAH (about 1,5 USD).
Price for entrance ticket to the museum: 60 UAH (2,5 USD).
Opening hours of the museum: Wednesday – Sunday, 10:00 – 17:00 (16:00 – last entrance), Monday – Tuesday, closed.
