The Pentagon is a grandiose construction of the USA, a strong core that ensures the security of the whole country. This is where the U.S. Department of Defense headquarters is located. From one word “Pentagon” comes an association with something inaccessible and completely secret.

The Abraham Lincoln Memorial is another iconic landmark in Washington. It was built in honor of the 16th president of the United States, the liberator of Americans from slavery, the national hero of the American people – Abraham Lincoln. His presidency fell on the years of the Civil War (1861-1865).

There is a Washington Monument in the center of the National Mall between the Capitol and the Memorial to Abraham Lincoln. This monument is dedicated to the first president of the United States – George Washington. Its height is 169 meters (555 feet). Before the construction of the Eiffel Tower, this monument was the tallest building in the world.

Manhattan and Brooklyn are connected by the legendary Brooklyn bridge, where you can go by transport and walk as well, enjoying amazing views to the city, including the American symbol – Statue of Liberty.

Even if you are indifferent to the libraries, the Public library of New York along 5th Avenue – one of the largest in the world, is worth visiting, because its interior is really impressive. Here was filmed the movie “The Day after Tomorrow”, where the main characters were hiding from the flood, and later from abnormal icing.
