Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas is located 70 km from Heraklion International Airport, 2 km from the center of Elounda resort, on the blue coast of the Aegean Sea.
The road to the hotel is serpentine. And at every turn, the views are better and better.
We told about how we were lucky to get to this hotel and about the organization of our vacation on the Crete island in our tourist review.
As soon as we entered the hotel, we were absolutely impressed by its large green area with olive trees and tropical plants, which is looked after by a large team of gardeners. It is a great pleasure to walk along the territory of the hotel.
There are a lot of details in service items in the hotel, which create the general image of a high-class hotel. One of these details is the valet parking service. This means that once you have arrived at the hotel, you do not need to look for a place to park your car. Hotel staff collect your keys, park your car and take your belongings to your room while you do the check-in in a separate lounge area with a wonderful view of Mirabello Bay.
The hotel guests can stay in the rooms of various categories, in several buildings, or even in detached villas with personal pools.
Rooms and villas are being renovated from time to time. We stayed in the main building, in a fantastic room of the Deluxe Hotel Suites Sea View category with a living room and a bedroom and a large terrace with a wonderful direct view of the picturesque bay.
Everything in the room is organized to the tiniest detail with a great care and there is everything you need for a comfortable stay.

There are original paintings and arrangements of fresh flowers, which are renewed daily in the hotel lobby.
What about the hotel beach?
At first sight, the hotel beach seems to be small, but usually there are enough places with sunbeds and umbrellas for everyone. The beach is sandy with a comfortable descent into the sea, which is very convenient especially for small children.
Those who are tired of lying on the beach can try to take part in some activities. There are various types of water sports, you can ride jet skis, water skis, SUP boards, go diving, or even rent a catamaran or a yacht and relax in the open sea.
The crystal clear and warm sea waves washes away all the accumulated tiredness. What a pleasant feeling!
There is a floating platform not far from the shore. You can relax after and get some sun there.
On the last day of our stay in Crete the weather got worse and the sea was very stormy. Can you imagine, there was an earthquake on the Crete island a few days after our departure. The sea can be so powerful and so dangerous at the same time!
Breakfast in the hotel is served in the main restaurant of the main building as a buffet. There is a great variety, and everything is very tasty and of high quality.
In the evening the hotel guests can taste the cuisines from different countries in several hotel’s restaurants. Live music makes the dinner especially cozy and romantic.
The hotel has its own small Greek chapel.
After the dinner we enjoyed walking along the cozy, lighted paths around the hotel, breathing in the fresh sea air, listening to the waves and enjoying the evening views of the surroundings.
Every detail in the hotel creates an authentic Greek vibe.
Sunrises and sunsets in Mirabelo Bay are incredible.
The territory of the hotel looks like a separate settlement with its own infrastructure. The hotel guests can use a large saltwater swimming pool, a spa, tennis courts, a golf course, sports fields, a water sports center and a fitness center.
Sometimes it seemed that we stayed right in the middle of a botanical garden.
That’s how you can come across a pomegranate tree with ripe fruits on the way to your room.
The variety of plants around the hotel is really impressive. Each flower is a masterpiece of nature.
One more spot of the hotel, which impressed us very much was the hotel amphitheater (a symbol of Greek culture). Most likely an entertainment program for the hotel guests (for adults and children as well) was held on this amphitheater.
During our walk along the hotel territory, we came across such an insect. Does anybody know what insect it can be? Write in the comments. It looks like a hummingbird.
The hotel employees are always attentive and friendly, had an individual approach to solving any problem and any request.
