The Butterfly Valley is a very beautiful canyon, which is 10 km from Oludeniz resort. You will hardly ever see the butterflies here, but you will definitely be impressed by the views of the canyon.
There is a beach with umbrellas and sunbeds inside the canyon. It is possible to get to this beach by one of the tourist boats from Oludeniz (in the morning).
We got to the viewpoint of the Butterfly Valley by the regular bus from the bus stop near the Belcegiz beach in Oludeniz.
The bus goes by the Faraliya direction (the nearest town to the Butterfly Valley). As there is no bus stop near the viewpoint of the valley, it is necessary to ask the bus driver to stop exactly near the viewpoint. The same thing was on the way back from the valley: we had to stop the bus, otherwise the bus driver wouldn’t stop.
It is better to visit the valley in the first part of the day, because the buses do not go often in the afternoon.
There is Fethie town just 15 km from Oludeniz. You can find large shopping centres, mosque and all the necessary infrastructure for local citizens there. It is possible to go to Fethie from Oludeniz by bus. The bus stop in Oludeniz is near the Belcegiz beach as well.
