World with a twist
The White House is the official residence of the US President, one of the most famous buildings in the world. It was in our list of must-see places in this city. Frankly speaking, it was even one of our main goals for a trip to Washington.

There is a Washington Monument in the center of the National Mall between the Capitol and the Memorial to Abraham Lincoln. This monument is dedicated to the first president of the United States – George Washington. Its height is 169 meters (555 feet). Before the construction of the Eiffel Tower, this monument was the tallest building in the world.

Washington is the capital of the United States. Global decisions are made here. The White House, the Capitol, the Pentagon – you can often see all of these main attractions in many films and TV series. Washington turned out to be different from the way we imagined it by the movies. So how does it look like? We will tell you about it in our series of publications about Washington. We will show and tell you about the most significant sights of the city, as well as about our incident with the police near the Pentagon and what is not allowed to do there.
It is possible to visit another very famous place – Lake Ontario on the way back from the Niagara Falls. Lake Ontario is one of the five Great Lakes and is located on the border of the United States and Canada.
If you want to feel the fresh breath of Atlantic ocean in New York, you should definitely come to the promenade of Brighton Beach – southern Brooklyn.
Many ex-Soviets immigrated to Brighton Beach in the middle 1970s that the area became known as “Little Odessa” (after the Ukrainian city on the Black Sea).
You can hear the Russian speech here, restaurants with the titles in Russian, so sometimes it looks like a part of Soviet Union.

The world’s financial center New York Stock Exchange is located on Wall Street. It is a symbol of the financial mightiness of the USA and of all the financial industry.
Usually, we are very skeptical about museums. But this museum exceeded all our expectations! Many mysterious secrets of our planet are kept here. This museum, like a time machine, carried us through the millennia of the history of humanity to places and historical events that we were impressed to our very core, and the day spent here, passed like a moment.
What did impress us so much? Right now we are going to tell you about this museum and the Top 10, in our opinion, the most interesting, which is worth visiting in this special place.
