World with a twist
Our next points of interest were the museums of Verkhovyna. The first museum was the Museum of Music by Roman Kumlyk (a virtuoso musician who could play 50 musical instruments). It is a museum not only of music, but also the museum ofHutsul region ethnography. Hutsul clothing, household items and musical instruments are stored here.
The next morning we were joined the tour bus in the centre of Lviv and headed to the Carpathians. First we visited the Museum of Hutsul and Pokuttya region in Kolomyia. Here household items of the inhabitants of the Hutsul region were collected, like: elegant clothes, items carved from wood, tools, models of the interior of Hutsul houses and much more interesting exhibits.
We went to celebrate the New Year in the Carpathians to enjoy the beauty of the Carpathian Mountains, to plunge into the cozy Hutsul atmosphere. Western Ukraine is, as always, hospitable and “warm”, despite the winter frosts.
Fabulous Guk Waterfall (Zhenets waterfall) 15 metres high was formed on Zhenets River at the altitude about 900 metres on the territory of the Carpathian national park.
Climbing to the top of the highest peak in Ukraine (Hoverla Mount) is an exciting adventure, a difficult challenge with great physical exertion, but also a significant event that is worth your effort.

If you want to learn skiing or to snowboard, or to have fun in the winter, frosty weather under the open sky, go to the Vyshgora ski complex. It is located in Vyshgorod, Kyiv region, about 25 km from the center of Kyiv.

Here we go with Nick to the Carpathian mountains again. But this time we go there with another goal – to ski in the “velvet” season, to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views of the mountains. We love the mountains and every time we come here they make us feel impressed with its beauty, like we see them for the first time. The Carpathian mountains give us incredibly strong energy and inspiration.

Just a few kilometres to the east from Klevan town, about 24 km from Rovno, and 350 km from Kyiv there is abondoned railway. This place is called “Tunnel of love”.
